If ‘a’ be real number and ‘n’ be positive integer such that
a1/n is an irrational then a1/n is called surd of order
‘n’.
Rules:
- n√a = a1/n
- n√ab = n√a × n√b
- n√a/b = n√a / n√b
- (n√a)n = a
- m√n√a = mn√a
- (n√a)m = n√am
