Present Continuous Tense

Purpose:  This tense shows that an action is in progress.

General Form:
Its general form is:
Subject + is/am/are + V4

Identifiers:
Now, now-a-days, these days.

Examples:
ü  We are discussing tense.
ü  I am teaching tense.
ü  I am learning tense.

Common Errors:
ü  Where do you work now-a-days?
Where are you working now-a-days?
Exceptions:
Automatic actions are not used in this tense (effortless actions).

ü  Future perfect continuous to future prefect.

Common Errors:
ü  I have been knowing you for a fortnight.
I have known you for a fortnight.
